Charlie founded the Educe Group in 2003 to offer strategic, management, and implementation consulting in Talent Management technologies, particularly systems focusing on learning, performance, collaboration and workforce planning.  As Managing Partner, Charlie serves as a senior strategic advisor for clients and is responsible for strategy and the overall operations of the firm.

Charlie has over 20 years of extensive technical and functional experience in the design and deployment of enterprise software and business process transformation.  His 100+ client portfolio includes companies of all sizes, from emerging startups to global / multinational firms, universities, hospitals, and government agencies.  Charlie’s focus has been on organizational initiatives related to compliance, customer and partner channels, competency-alignment, sales force effectiveness and leadership learning and development.  Prior to Educe, Charlie worked as a Managing Consultant at Saba Software and Senior Technical Consultant at Booz-Allen Hamilton.  Charlie received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Delaware and a Masters of Business Administration from Duke University.

 

Nyla

Nyla Reed

Nyla joined the Educe Group through a merger with the firm she founded in 2003, Hashmi Solutions. As a Founding Partner at Educe, she is responsible for strategy and sales, and serves as a senior strategic advisor for major clients. Nyla has been a frequent speaker at industry events on topics including LMS vendor selection and implementation, knowledge management strategy, and staffing learning organizations to meet changing workplace demands.

Nyla has more than 20 years of experience in talent management system implementation, training strategy development, and training delivery for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and high school students. As a Managing Consultant for Saba, she led several global LMS implementations. She previously served as an appointee in the US Senate’s Office of Education and Training. In Training Specialist roles at the US Senate and EDS, Nyla developed training solutions and delivered training to the Senate, Library of Congress, House of Representatives, INS, and other government entities. She began her career at the Close Up Foundation, a civic education organization where she worked as a Program Instructor, then managed an international studies program for students and teachers. Nyla received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.

Bryan

Bryan Reed

Bryan has more than 11 years of experience in implementing talent management software. He currently leads client technical teams in the implementation and support of LMS and talent management platforms. Bryan is proficient in several leading web and database technologies, enabling him to integrate disparate systems seamlessly within a variety of infrastructures. He previously served in technical roles at Saba and Booz Allen & Hamilton. Bryan received a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware. His technical experience and skills include:

  • Operating systems: Linux, Unix and all Microsoft platforms
  • Database applications: Oracle and SQL Server
  • Web server platforms: WebSphere, WebLogic, JRUN, JBoss etc.
  • Programming languages: J2EE, JSP, .NET, Javascript, and other Web 2.0
  • Reporting / Analytics: Crystal Reports
Young

Young Paik

Partner

Boston, MA

Young is an engagement manager and subject matter expert in talent management functionality, leveraging his knowledge of learning technologies and processes to lead and support functional and technical efforts during client engagements.  In addition, he bring several years of expertise in usability and instructional design projects through prior roles with Inflexxion, the Digital Media Academy, and SAP Labs.  Young has worked at all phases of the software development and implementation lifecycle with clients in a variety of industries. 

Internally with Educe, he leads an effort for employee mentoring and development.  Young is currently Project Management Professional (PMP) certified, and he received a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems with a minor in Human Biology from Stanford University.  He then completed his Masters in Education in Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard University.  Outside of his work with Educe, Young has raised over $10,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute while completing three Boston Marathons.  He is also a board member of The Addis Clinic, a non-profit working to utilize telemedicine technologies to link doctors in the US with patients in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Craig

Craig Gormley

Craig leverages his functional and technical expertise as an engagement manager to help clients successfully implement learning and performance management systems.  He is Saba and Cornerstone partner certified to implement those systems.  He brings his subject matter expertise to multiple compliance based industries that include pharmaceutical, oil and gas, health care and financial.  In addition, he brings several years of expertise in synchronous and asynchronous learning. Craig has worked in all phases of the software development / implementation lifecycle and regularly researches and compiles industry best practices on LMS strategy.

Craig has over fourteen years of experience implementing talent management systems ranging from Fortune 500 companies to higher education.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College William and Mary and Masters of Science in Management, Information Systems Security from Colorado Technical University. Although running marathons is no longer in his routine, Craig still finds time for a quick run and sits on the Hopkinton Marathon Committee helps manage the start of the Boston Marathon each year.  

Lauren

As a Principal with the Educe Group, Lauren manages talent management system implementation projects for Fortune 500 and other large organizations, delivers strategic consulting to clients in the areas of business process alignment and documentation, governance and change management, and serves as a subject matter expert on Cornerstone cloud-based talent management software. She brings over 10 years of experience implementing talent management systems and processes for a variety of clients across multiple industries for both internal and external user populations.  Lauren has extensive expertise gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining business processes, developing standard operating procedures, planning and execution of testing phases for systems, and developing and delivering training.

Prior to joining Educe, Lauren co-founded and managed MonthlyBuzz.com, an online social media website and event calendar for young professionals, and began her career as a certified public accountant specializing in tax services for KPMG and BDO Seidman. Lauren received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.

Phineas

Phineas acts as a senior technical advisor and engagement manager on client engagements ranging from first-time implementations of cloud based solutions to customizing behind the firewall enterprise wide talent management platforms.  Phineas leverages his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification along with 20 years of software development and implementation experience to guide clients through their engagements.  He has broad knowledge and experience in technologies used for system to system integrations.

After graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, he began his career in consulting at a supply chain management software company.  Phineas has worked in consulting with IBM and Oracle (J.D. Edwards) and as a Java developer for Vitria Technologies, an EAI software firm.
